My wife is an amazing Baker/Cooker (if that's a word), basically she makes ridiculously tasty things in the Kitchen for your mouth.

She finally got around to starting a blog where she shares all kinds of thoughts and recipes and experiences, and I thought this would be a great tag team for us so I started designing in my spare time. 4 months and a couple hundred layers later this is what I came up with!

Check her out at: A Dash Of That

A special thanks to Slavka Kolbel Kuehn for helping lay down Katie's voice track and to Wes Slover for designing the sound!

Written and Performed by Katie Scott
Directed and Animated by Jordan Scott
Sound Design and Audio Mix by Wes Slover

As a team we were given the task of creating a piece that utilized 100 years of L.L. Bean materials such as old/new footage, paintings, photos, graphics, magazines, newspapers, and stories. Taking these assets we were able to build piece that celebrates how far L.L. Bean has come. I was responsible for the beginning of the snowman (1:00) to the end of the store (1:17).

Further exploration from a pitch done at DIGITAL KITCHEN for a company that shall not be named. I liked the original concept I came up with and decided to animate. That's all.

During my time at DIGITAL KITCHEN as an intern, I was asked to create a personal project of my choice. The content, approach, creative, tools, style etc. were all up to me and basically I would get out of the project what I put into it.

For those who know me well, or even briefly know that I am a diehard Canadian born hockey fan (Canucks). I decided to use this as the subject matter and wanted to get the opinions of some of my fellow American creatives on the sport of hockey which they may or may not know anything about.

I interviewed a bunch and then cut the most unique candid answers together with the intention of bringing the piece into flash and animate over. This is a technique I had yet to try my hand at so I applied myself and after 1407 individually animated frames it was done!

Thanks to everyone at DIGITAL KITCHEN Seattle for letting me pick your brains on my favorite thing.

I worked with Jen and James Taylor, the authors of the site, to create this introductory spot to promote their newly founded blog. The site assists others in their journey toward a gluten free lifestyle, and suggests alternative foods, restaurants and grocers.

I often find myself making notes on what techniques or projects I want to attempt next, changing and adding to them. This was a culmination of a few of those notes during my free time in the past few months.

I wanted to try my hand at heavily tracking footage, with the intention of using those tracks to design a piece that was calm and beautiful and natural. I located some beautiful shots of butterflies already shot and felt those would be a perfect start. This is my best attempt at that using my favorite song, ever. The Cinematic Orchestra - To build a home
